Recently bought the re-mastered Brave Murder Day (amazing), and in the notes anders lists Slowdive as the bands greatest influence< i take it he's talking about the shoegaze slowdive who did Souvlaki, when the sun hits etc, im a huge fan of slowdive and Katatonia, interstingly enough slowdive also had a album titled 'Morningrise':Smug:
Anyone like 'the Dive' also?

Slowdive were masters of music, i worship that band and i'm always in the mood for them. One of the most important alt rock bands ever imo.

If you look at Katatonia's myspace page, Slowdive is one of their top friends. Anyways, Slowdive is a fantastic band and I wish Neil would reform them for at least a tour.

I think that My Bloody Valentine was another fantastic band from the shoegaze era. Also, Swans progressed a lot and made some truly beautiful albums in the early 90's, it's not shoegaze, but it's definetly something for Slowdive fans to check out.
