I'm toying with the idea of putting a cabled AV extender and a wireless DAW controller in a spare room across the hall from my home 'studio' for when I want to self-produce vocals or acoustic instruments without worrying about noise from computer fans, air conditioning, etc. The extender would let me hear and see my DAW and the controller would.. duh..., but seeing as how I would still have a CAT5 cable running from Room 1 to Room 2 and at least one mic cable running back again, I can't shake the feeling I'm overthinking a problem that isn't really much of one to begin with.
