euro 2008

by the way did you see england on the tournament schedule. they're somehow missing? hehe sorry I had to this. It was stronger than me.

Haaahaa :)

Reading through comments on a blog the other day, someone posted the question (seriously): "Why didn't the U.S. qualify??" :loco:

Another asked what group England was in, because he saw some players names that he recognized. To which someone responded "They're in Group E". And of course the original poster didn't get the sarcasm...and was trying to find info on "Group E". LOL

Damn, it sucks being at work while the games are on!!!

How bad is this? I actually tape the games since I'm at work, and then spend all night watching them...even though I already know the outcome. Luckily, I have a wife who instead of complaining about watching the games...tells me we need some beer, peanuts, and pretzels! :) Romania (my adopted country thanks to my wife) and Italy on Friday! I may have to bring a TV to work. :)

There's always one relatively unknown player out of every tournament who ends up going for a massive transfer fee to a bigger club. In England they call it "tournament goggles", where one player has a couple of brilliant games and then ends up going to another club in England, Spain or Italy for at least €10 million before the end of the tournament.

Within ten minutes of game last night my vote went to Engelaar to be that player (who had a cracking game).

Engelaar has been playing for FC Twente the last 2 years. Allready before he got selected for the dutch national team Schalke 04 and Ajax we're on his tail because he played a really good season, also last year he was good.. But now the interest in him is probally rising...

A prime example of a player who's talent comes through by having the right people around him at a higher age (28)..

And you'll lose with Romania so you'll kick off France and Italy.......the games are already written
It's better Romania in the next turn than France or Italy

I'm looking forward to see a match between Portugal and Holland.

Holland to me are in the finals, lets just hope Portugal too.

Fantastic games so far, and lots of goals!

How do European national teams work, anyway? I know there are all the big clubs in countries (FC Bayern Munchen in Germany and Manc. U in England, for example), but are national teams totally different, or are they like an all-star team of the best guys from the clubs?
