Euro Cup 08

Portugal just won 2-0. I only saw the second half, but Portugal seemed to be in command of the game. Turkey's attack was just too slow, and their final passes were weak. Portugal seemed to knock the ball around pretty easily. There was the one free kick where the Portuguese goalie looked to be in :erk::erk: land. Besides that, Turkey didn't seem to be getting anything together. The last goal was all Ronaldo (i hate em, but he is good.) and the second guys nice spin move.

Germany Poland should be fun tomorrow, but Germany should have no problems (despite all the above none sense)
 
Those two games were boring as fuck. Most Euro championshps are anyway, due to all the teams using basically the same squad set-up and tactics. I hope France pulverizes Romania anyway (sorry Lurch:p)
 
i have no delusions of Romania winning it all, but if we're known for anything is pulling surprise wins over top seeded teams.

No celebration at all in that guy after scoring goals, he was very much aware of the situation he was in o_O

It was almost pathetic really, Germany completely dominated them and I don't see things changing much considering the rest of that group.
 
Went to the U.S Argentina friendly last night. Giant stadium was absolutely packed, forth largest crowd (over 78,000) to see a soccer game there. Game was well played, ended 0-0. The U.S goalie had a greattt game, and saved them in the first half. The U.S did have several chances though, and hit the crossbar in the second half. Great atmosphere, it started raining hard (some lighting as well) in the second half, but everyone stayed. :kickass::kickass:

Looking forward to today's game :loco: , should be a good, if not a 'careful' match. An early goal by either side should spice things up.

not only that, but Podolski has a Polish girlfriend and his grandmother still lives in Poland :loco: ... I am sure they'll be fine when the paycheck comes in.

Honestly I've never been that bored in front of a football game... Romania was unwilling to leave its all-defensive shell and France was utterly disorganized, never breathing any sense of rhythm in the game, and relying on dull strikers with a shocking zero serious attempt at the goal in 90 minutes... Neither team deserves to make the second round (but I hope one of them will because of Italy deserves hatred eternal)
