I haven't had a chance to talk to Mike yet, but as far as the US tour goes, they had a sound guy join them after the tour had already started, so a certain amount of adjustment was needed for him to get used to the music and know whose sound needed to be louder and when. This might explain why the sound at one show was better than the sound at other shows (as well as the obvious fact that not all venues have the same quality equipment). As for this recent tour, I'll ask Mike if there were any soundman issues or what have you & let you know what he says.
