Just outta nowhere, I decide to check these guys out based on opinions I have heard from friend's. What do you know? I really like what I am hearing. And the fact they are pretty popular is nice to hear...they remind me of a cross between a bit of After Forever (minus the growling) and Nightwish. Songs such as "My Immortal" & "Forgive Me" had such a level of emotion to them, I had to place them in this forum...I felt a certain Anathema-like emotion as well.
Well, so...what do others think of Evanescence?

Evenescence....uhhhh.... My Immortal is a great song, other than that the cd is pretty NU.

To say they are anything like After Forever or Nightwish is absurd. They have female singers, thats all.

Lacuna Coil is their closest match and even those two are miles apart.
