Since you're an industry "insider", I was wondering if you ever read the web diary or book by a guy named Mixerman. It was a daily chronicle of recording a bidding war band with a "world-famous" producer. Even if all the details are not true, the guy is obviously a knowledgeable engineer, and the stories are just downright hilarious.

If you have read it, any idea who the parties involved were?
