EVH 5150 III 'heavy' demo

cant really discuss on the guitars, but what did you use for orchestra/choirs?

You guys are right, I'm currently working on a better version, guitars more upfront, I'll post it here when finished, so you can download the song.

Nice clip, I always found that using orchestra staffs I have to HP and LP the guitars more to cut better in the mix.

You said: "I can't decide which set I like the most."
Still thinking the same. I thinking about EMG 57 pickups
(for my Schecter with stock EMG 707, I think new Schecter Hybrid will have some 57-7H)
Sorry for the offtopic, just want to know your feelings about this new pickups

Well, I have a schecter 7 string, which comes with those blackouts at default. I sold them and currently have one EMG 81-7 in there as bridge pickup. Honestly, I think a 57 might be better for palm mutes, because it'll probably have just a little less bass then an 81 (and for 7 string it can get pretty bassy quick). Personally I haven't tried those 7 string versions yet of 57&66, but I might buy a 57 and stick the 81-7 in the neck position in the future. (currently have nothing in the bridge position). So my guess is a 57 would work best for 7 string playing. On the other hand there are people who love more bass, like those blackouts deliver, but it doesn't really work for me, especially in a mix.

Thanks for your sharing experience!
I'm now between 57-7H and BK Painkillers, hard decision.

Have you tried any BKP's before?

I bought myself a set of BKP's a while ago, for one of my six string guitars and honestly, nice pickups (juggernaut for bridge, VHII for neck) but... still miles away from EMG's imo. I'm the kind of guy that's just not into passives, I guess...
