Dearest SW fans,

I'm playing bass in the Progressive Female Fronted Metal Band Ex Libris. We've recently refurbished our website (http://www.exlibrismusic.com), and uploaded a Promo-EP which is available for FREE download.

Please have a listening session after downloading the EP, or listen to the songs on Youtube:

Enjoy!

Welcome to the SW board.

I may be in the minority of users here that feel this particular way, but I have always found it quite disrespectful to advertise on another band's website or forum. I appreciate what you are trying to do and I'm sure a number of SW fans would like your band, but i feel there are probably more appropriate places to spread the word about your band. It also doesn't help that you post without a single mention of relevance to SW.

Perhaps contact the band themselves and ask for their permission to sell your wares on their official forum; apologies if you have already done this. For what it's worth, i like the melodic instrumental passsages but i feel the female vocals are not entirely suitable to the music.

the songs posted sound good, I like the operistic-jazzy female vocals. The instrumental parts are quite good, but probably something is missing. Anyway, go on like that.

Although I kind of agree with fire_angel on the advertisement, I thought their EP was mindblowing stuff. I really dig the unique sounding female vocals in metal (like Julie in To-Mera, Floor Jansen etc.). I would certainly have gotten their debut album if the production wasn't so bad. Keep doing what you do, it's really good stuff imo.
