So I'm late to the party on this band, but have recently picked up a few of Megaforce's 2005 Exciter reissues. It says they're remastered, and apparently by Annihilator's Jeff Waters, but the sound quality is pretty terrible. What's the story there?

Yeah, great band and I love the music but it does sound rough. Mastered, not very well at that, from vinyl is what it sounds like.

Which one are you talking about? the first two albums are pretty rough sounding anyway from the original recordings if i remember.
nothing is as bad as the Anthrax "fistful of metal" reissue taken from low bit rate mp3s. hahaha, so pissed.
but back to Exciter...LONG LIVE THE LOUD is my jam! LP framed in the cave. Amazing album.

hmmm, i didn't notice anything with mine. i mean that record was recorded in 1983/84 on an indie record label. it is what it is, not sonically superb but raw and definitely a classic.
