I'm mixing an EP for a project of mine. Just got guitars all recorded and edited earlier today and I gave it a shot at mixing.

That bass is quite clearly a VST instrument, if it's not then I'll be surprised. If it is a VST instrument, it needs some humanizing to get that picking to sound natural and not so staccato and cut-off. Guitars could use some 800hz warmth. Overall, the mix needs mids.

The guitars are pretty simple so I didn't feel like making them really be the focus of the mix. Thanks for your opinion though. I feel like a lot of fans might think the synths are too loud too but I like it a lot how it is.

I also turned the drums up a little from this mix.

I get what people were saying about synth being to loud but like you said guitars were too 'simple' to be focused on. I love the eerie ambient feel it gives though!

this is sick. Im a fan of your band Oscillator good shit bro! i agree with the synth too loud comment but clearly thats what you going for... i just feel it takes some of the heaviness out of the guitar
