I saw Extol last night...my God were they ever excellent. Seriously one of the best shows I have ever and will ever see in my entire life...so tight, so metal, so brutal..I've already got nostalgia. Synergy rules!!

'my God' - was that a pun? :tickled:

I've heard this band is great live, but unfortunately, I wouldn't know.
I hope to change that one day.
Just out of curiosity, do they get 'preachy' with the audience between songs? They don't seem the type, but I always wondered.

the guitarist did preach. once. he said somthing along the lines of "id like to thank god, for he is the one who makes this all possible"

that bugged me, i hate it when people preach. but luckily that was the only time in their set

I really wouldn't consider that preachy. I think it's pretty cool, actually, when anyone feels comfortable enough with proclaiming their faith. It's when people try to force their beliefs on you that I find it offensive. I don't think his comment was offensive at all.

well im hyper sensative about that thing. mostly cuz i am very opinionated and stubborn. i just dont apriciate it when people blurt that shit out. i wouldnt play a show at a church and say "fuck god, hail satan". and although he wasnt trying to force it, i still dont think he should have said it. just play the music

Nope...not preachy at all. In fact, they seem rather intent on making it known that they're there for the "true death and black metal fans" and boy were they ever..the only time anything was said biblically at the end of their set the singer said "Remember, Jesus is the way the truth and the light..farewell"
