EYELESS have just released a new song off their new album, "The Diary", mixed by Jason Suecof (CHIMAIRA, TRIVIUM, ALL THAT REMAINS, BURY YOUR DEAD, GOD FORBID, DAATH...). The band is still in talks with record labels, and the album release is expected toward late 2009 / early 2010.

The song is called "Pleasure & Pain" and can be checked out here :

Last but not least, the songs "Believe" and "See you in hell" feature Doc Coyle (GOD FORBID) and Mark Hunter (CHIMAIRA) as guests.

The mix is not for me, although it sounds clear and defined, but I don't like the guitar sound not even a bit.
The music sounds really nice! kind of a thrashier LoG, nice vocals too! Is that your band Djab?

The thing that distracts me the most here is the snare. It sounds like the snare on recent All that remains / Bury your dead stuff and i'm not a huge fan of this kind of snare sound.

It's not my band, those are my friends from my hometown in France. They're my buddies and i'm also a longtime fanboy :)

I've heard most of the rest of the album as well and it sounds pretty awesome and diverse also. This song here is one of the most straightforward songs.

BTW I love that chorus !

I kinda agree with the "thrashier LOG" thing. If i had to describe what i've heard from the album, it's like Pantera had sex with Fear Factory, Chimaira, Bury your dead & Pestilence.

And i'm a huge fan of Fred vocals also, though i think his vocals on other songs are way more noticeable than the ones on that specific song.

artworks really nice imo, also i kinda like the sound of their demo recording more.
It just has this weird eery guitar tone to it that suits whats being played.

Personally i prefer the album tone better, though i don't like it all the way either :)
I've heard preproductions they've done in the past that sound better than all of this (tone-wise) :)
They have decent if not good production on their releases so far but i still feel they haven't got the production they deserve/that fits their music 100%.

Yeah, I'm not loving this one much. There's nothing that stands out as being awesome to me, and as a whole I don't think the mix works to any great extent.

The music is great!

Mix is really not too bad, i guess i would like to hear a bit more bass(guitar) and less grainy guitars on music like this.
