I thought so too, though the singer on it isn't the best, so maybe he is talking about it. He has gotten better (I've heard some new material).

That's the problem with 90% of metal out there; why don't they all just go instrumental? Except Nevermore, 'cause they actually have a good singer.

Exactly... vocalists are the BANE of metal...

There a few GREAT vocalists, but there is a pile of vocalists that just plain blow...

Good:

Nevermore
Symphony X (V, Olympus, 50% of divine wings)
Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad

...But i suppose, the bands with bad singers just wouldn't be the same, such as atheist, or martyr... it would just seem 'wrong' to be instrumental...

BUT... Power of omens SHOULD go instrumental, because the singer is just plain NOTGOOD

yeh, but after a few years of listen to metal with the screamy vocals, i love them and wouldnt have it any other way. ill admit i didnt know what to make of them at first, but they fit with the mood most times.
