EZDrummer, DKFH, Addivtive.....???? any others.



What do you guys recommend and use for programming drums.

I'm using Logic 8 on a Mac Pro.

oh man....

There are already about 500 threads about this I think...I own EZD (DFH and Nashville expansions as well), the original Superior and Addictive Drums.... I prefer Addictive Drums personally.

I'm still using the Original Drumkit From Hell Superior and still dig it..now that I can comprehend drum playing a bit better.

But that said, guys on here get awesome sounds from all the drum progs you listed. Check out the "Rate My Tone/Mix" thread to hear the variety and then maybe stop by the website of the program developers to see the GUI and how they work. The possibilities are pretty limitless.

Yeah, that's really the best advice. You need to find out which one fits YOU. Beyond just the sounds. If it sounds good but you have a ton of trouble using the GUI then the sounds do you no good. And +1 to there being tonnnnnns of examples in the RMM/T forum.

I'd suggest waiting till the 1st of july. Toontrack should put up a demo version on their site, right?
I'm pretty sure metal foundry is gonna kick some major ass.

I like the kicks and snares in Addictive Drums, but prefer the toms and overheads in Superior Drummer 2.0.

you can't go wrong with SSD3, trust me...the 3.5 update will be awesome!
