Is it just me, or is this the album of the year so far? It's fantastic in every way, with some amazing singers, great orchestration and a cool storyline, and fabulous production throughout.

Will definitely do the job nicely and fill the gap left by Rhapsody

I got my copy as soon as I could get my hands on it because I had been eagerly waiting for it for MONTHS. In fact, as soon as the news hit that everyone but Giordana had left the band, I had been following the new album - it was a long wait, for sure. In my opinion, it's not as good as Fall of an Empire, but that's one of my top favorite power metal albums ever. It's still great, but it's not as catchy as I was hoping for. Assault On The Shore is probably my favorite track due to the killer vocals.

After I listened to the album, though, I checked out Pathosray! Great band, definitely got some exposure thanks to the members' presence on STANB.

Stratovarius wins best album of the year so far though IMHO

So far, I'd put Stratovarius at the top, too, but I have a great feeling about Dream Theater's new album. I have a feeling it'll be either that or the new Sonata Arctica for me...
