Faith No More & Soundwave

Faith No More has always stood out as a unique beast; part dog, part cat—its music almost as schizophrenic as the personalities of its members. Their chemistry is undeniable. 11 years after famously calling it a day in April 1998, Faith No More stunned the music world by announcing their reformation earlier this year. Faith No More will only be performing 2 Australian club shows on the back of their headlining spot at Soundwave 2010. Tickets go on sale Thursday 29 October at 9am.

Anthrax makes its more interesting on top of Anvil. I heard some mummurs about possibly Slayer too...

That would have been better than any subsequent tour, not least because they probably played a heap off The Real Thing.

Yeah, they only played Epic when I saw them. Well, that was the only song from The Real Thing - they did quite a few songs off later albums. I'm guessing they're not big fans of the album which is a shame because it's one of my top ten - hell, top five - albums of all time.

This is the setlist from when I saw them in '95.

The Gentle Art of Making Enemies
Be Aggressive
Midlife Crisis
What A Day
Evidence
Surprise! You're Dead!
We Care a Lot
Easy
Introduce Yourself
Get Out
King For A Day
Epic
Caralho Voador
Digging the Grave
Just A Man
Let's Lynch the Landlord (Dead Kennedys)
Caffeine
I Started a Joke (Bee Gees)
Death March

I'd like to swap my tickets for the other show so I can go see Jane's Addiction as well. Damned gig clash.

You should love 'em. I saw them in 1993 and twice in 1995.

They've been playing Surprise! You're Dead! in recent times, which is awesome. It's their heaviest song. Can't wait to see them do We Care A Lot either. It'd be nice if they skipped Easy or any shit crooning song Mike wrote.
