it's cool to get some feedback.
i don't know. to me there's just something really compelling about fnm's music. it's timeless music in a way. angel dust to me sounds like it might have been recorded yesterday.

i'm into all material that patton has been involved with. but fnm is definitely my fave.

yeah, Angel Dust is a very creative album, and there's no doubt Patton's a fucking genius. but still it's not my thing... lets say I'm not very "identified" with it for some reason. maybe the crazyness, don't know.

To my ears - they fall into that general "I'll listen to them" category. They're OK, but I don't get anything special out of their music. Talented - yes, like most other musicians. But their sound doesn't put them on that "different" level.

True - but I think most bands have a uniqueness to them - that distinguishable sound. I guess I don't consider theirs so specially unique that they stand above most other bands [IMO]

Indeed a lucky friend
3 more sleeps! hmm I hear they will be doing meet and greets at Utopia Records NSW & Gaslight Music VIC, do you think Mike would get upset if I took my Mr. Bungle and Faith No More discs in to get signed?

I love Faith No More. They were the first band that I ever liked. Before that, I was listening to straight classical. Like a lot of people, I jumped on the "Epic" bandwagon, but unlike a lot of people, I actually stuck with it. I now have all of their records, including "Live at the Brixton Academy", which is very fucking hard to find everywhere I've looked in this country (I had to go to New Zealand to get it).

Kuckoo For Kacka(or how ever its spelt) i a great song., and not just because it's comical. It's a really great song. That, and Surprise! Your Dead! is really grand too, lots of others as well. Mike Patton is a mad man. i have a video of them doing Epic on Saturday night live. It just further proves that Mike Patton is a mad man.

"YOU CANT KILL IT!!! YOU CAN'T KILL IT!! SHIT LIVES FOREVER!"
"Being good gets you stuff, being stuff gets you good, being good gets you whealin' and dealin' and squeelin'!!!!"
"it's cold and its smooth, and its a hard shade of white"(how does that describe shit? )

Ha ha, yah. That song, and band, kicks ass.

On the subject of Patton projects I was just wondering if anyone has heard the album Secret Chiefs 3 with Trevor Dunn, Danny Heifetz and Trey Spruance from Mr. Bungle.
