fastest shredders

Rustey cooley is fast but really boring imo. michael romeo is great and jason becker was awesome and fast. yngwie i guess is fast but not as fast as those 3 i think.

i always thought mustaine was pretty damn quick, atleast in most of the megadeth songs ive heard...ive never really seen him do any solos or freestyle type of shit though so im not gonna argue about his speed

Lucretia was improvised on the spot.

Edit: Ah, fuck... I thought you were talking about Friedman.

dave mustaine is good at guitar and can play competent solos and writes good riffs, but when you compare him to people like michael romeo, rustey cooley and others speed wise and in michael romeos case, music theory and technique wise, he shouldn't be in the category of fastest shredders.

Rusty Cooley is number 1 on my list, michael romeo is damn close behind him.
I like Francesco Fareri a lot better. I have both of his solo cds, and Rusty's solo cd; Rusty's cd drags on a lot and gets boring at times.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHH

YOU FUCKING BOUGHT A FARERI CD?!?!?!

jesus christ that is the most laughable thing i've heard in my whole life. He is the most horrendous songwriter in all of history, with absolutely ZERO character with his playing to boot (not to mention the worst vibrato ever)

Why anyone would buy something by a guy who plays like this: http://www.francescofareri.com/fareri_shred2.wmv is beyond me.

IMO, the thing with Michael Angelo Batio, Rusty Cooley, Fransesco Fareri and those guys is their extremely fast and technical as hell, but it all sounds like garbage. I've only seen videos of those guys, but I wouldn't buy or even download any of their albums. Yngwie and Romeo are very, very fast and technical, but are still good musically.

I've seen Malmsteen twice and Vai once. I would've seen Holdsworth if I knew he was coming.:yell:
