Definately Rust in Peace, its the most consistant and high quality thrash album I've ever heard. Peace Sells follows right behind though.

Well, Tara, my favorite Megdeth albums are Rust In Peace, Countdown To Extinction and Cryptic Writings. Beefaroni!

Yeah but that place is boring.

I've always thought they were a far far better band with Chris Poland and Gar Samuelson- than Marty Friedman and Nick Menza- there was more of a jazz influence, more of a groove, better riffs, and songs breathed a little more than in the Friedman Menza years. Sure Friedman and Menza are two of the very best at their respective instruments, but as much as I appreciate their outstanding playing on Rust in Peace- Youthanasia( underated) it lacked the raw power and emotion of Megadeth with Poland and Samuelson.
