Arkham is pretty as hell (McKean rules), but I didn't quite like how it was written; some of it was a bit clunky for me, but whatever, it didn't detract from the overall mood. Grant Morrison has gone on to write better material (Animal Man, Flex Mentallo, Invisibles--his magnum opus, Marvel Boy, of course his run on New X-Men, to name a few) but this book is still a landmark. That work blew me away at 15 and I still love to look at it. Miller/Mazzachuli's Year One is also great.Carcassian said:Dark Knight returns is good, but I prefer Arkham Asylum.

Yeah, McKeans artwork does it for me every time. I really REALLY like the artwork in it, it's truly beautiful. I think Grant Morrison went overboard in trying to be "arthouse" with the writing too. Good though Dark Knight is, I really really love the art in Arkham so much more. Quite liked the Killing Joke too.

Anyway I thought Batman Begins blew all the other non Michale Keaton batmans out of the water. I don't know what they were thinking gettin George Clooney to play batman, ugh. It was a good movie as a whole - not as good as Batman returns.......MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm Catwoman!

I saw it. It was....meh. Not god awful, but, coulda been a little better. I mainly saw it because I think tits Magee is a 10 on the hot scale. Absolutley gorgeous features. Vampires are getting a little played out.
