the only reason i didn't mention him is because i don't count him really as ozzy's guitar player. he was just a friend filling in for a tour and then gone again.

My comment was pretty much tongue-in-cheek. I still have that Gillis era show on video tape somewhere... Heavy on the Sabbath, but otherwise not bad. Big shoes for Brad to fill....

Without a doubt Rhoads and Jake... why anyone would pick Zakk or someone else versus RR/JL is beyond me... making more albums with Ozzy then another guitarist does not equate with being the better guitarist imo... On another note it would of been interesting if George Lynch had decided to join Ozzy's band back in the 80's when he was considered...

Everyone wants to talk bad about Ozzy because he has sucked for the past 50 years...... well maybe not that long..... but for a while his music has been less than stellar. However, Ozzy has played with some of the greatest guitarists there has ever been. Let the guy get old and make bad music with some more awesome guitarists. Who cares ?

My personal favorite was Jake. Randy had some of the best solos, Zakk had killer chord alternatives, and may be the second best pinch harmonic user, other than that Fox guy from Stryper, but Jake has the coolest fills and chord progressions.

Zakk and much less Fox were nothing compared to Jake in pinching or any other aspect of the guitar. Enough said:

Last I read he is broke, addicted to Meth or other drugs and living a trailer park with a stripper. There is a website dedicated to him with pics of him recently. Too bad he sold his guitars. I loved that blue Charvel guitar he played with.
