favorite rush album?

"Farewell to the Kings" is brilliant.
But Rush are brilliant anyway. "2112" and "Caress Of Steel" are really great albums. Neil Peart is a great drummer. Not to mention that (like it or not) they are fountainly influentual for groups like Fates Warning, Dream Theater, Queensryche etc...

My favorite would be Hemispheres too (although I haven't heard all their albums yet). The main reason for my choice is that in this album one of the best and most interesting instrumental songs can be found ("La Villa Strangiato"). Just perfect...

Ohhh -- tough call. Side 2 of Hemispheres is probably my favorite 20-25 minute stretch, but I'd go with 2112 if I had to stick to a whole album. Moving Pictures would probably battle with Hemispheres for position as no. 2. I'd pretty much burn everything after Moving Pictures.
