Favorite Song off 'The Scattering of Ashes'

Actually that is what I was hoping online to do. I'd say right now it's a tie between "Out" and "Nothing" for me anyway. But then again that will change tomorrow too.

Suspension Of Disbelief for me, the double bass pedals at the intro is so fucking fast i haven't heard anybody do it faster, like even my friend was surprised and he knows his metal

2:18 on Hibernation Sickness Complete off of Arcturus's album Sideshow Symphonies is about the same speed but i've heard crazier DB in Mayhem.
At first I was not very impressed with this album, I liked Buried in Oblivion much better, but after a few more listens,, this album is definately growing on me. I'd have to say Severe Emotional Distress and A Past Beyond Memory are tied as my two favorite.

It's impossible to make my choice right now, they are pretty much all my favorites right now except for Eternal, thats the weakest song on the album in my mind, but if I had to choose right now, it'd be Out.
Was hard for me to be honest, i put my vote in for Out. but i really liked alot of different pieces of different songs... i liked that part on eternal in the middle where he sings "forget, this life... and all that you knew...", i liked the clean vocals/falsettos on timeless winter, the intro to past beyond memory was nice and hard hitting, and the chorus to paralyzed gave me chills when i heard the vocal inflections. guess i just like the whole album... and my favorite parts of each song changes i suppose but the above mentioned really got my attention. No complaints from me other than i wish it woulda had another 10-20 songs (guess i cant have EVERYTHING i want tho ) good album by a good band. rock on...

you know an album is good when many songs are tied and there is no #1.

It's got one now haha! I love that song... But Suspension, and Out were going to be my vote at first... Then I thought Pain Through Breathing - but I enjoy each of those songs differently every time I hear them - Eternal is always kick ass to me!
I don't know if that made sense - but of those three, I guess I enjoy them little more or a little less depending on what I feel like?

At this point I would have to say either 'Suspension of Disbelief' or 'Surrounded By Night' but my vote went for 'Suspension.' I really had a hard time picking a favorite song from the album as they're all outstanding. After numerous listens, I really do think The Scattering of Ashes is right up there with Buried In Oblivion.
