Since the release of Breeding Death, the band have done tones of killer riffs right... Ok, what I want to know is; what's yer favourite bloodbath riff? wich one you think is the catchiest or grooviest one?

I have a few favourites, not in a specific order;

So You Die (the riff at 1.04)
Bathe In Blood (opening riff)
Brave New Hell (opening riff)
Like Fire (opening riff, catchiest one I've ever heard)
Outnumbering The Day (opening riff)

So, which one is worthy of your praise?

Mine for sure has to be the one in Mass Strangulation when the drums stops and the riff for the solo/creepy-melody begins, I'm always remember that little part wherever I am, diving 140 feet deep or even having sex haha.

My one favorite riff out of all Bloodbath songs would be from Stillborn Saviour beginning at 2:30 till the end. It sounds so fucking evil.

Another one was played at Wacken, but it's a secret. ;)

Swanö riffs are always the coolest, you chose 3/5, Bastard :)

this is actually a very good question. the beginning riff in like fire is fucking awesome. but there was point in time where every song had a part where i thought it was my favorite part of all time, but quickly changed. for example, outnumbering the day used to be my favorite song. but then it was like "ehhh ok, ive heard that a million times, this song sounds fresher. but im at the point where ive had favorite songs/parts within songs with just about every song ever released by bloodbath. so its really all about the times.

with that said, id love to answer this question but its just i havnt been listening to bloodbath alot. ive gotten "bored" with all the parts that used to be entertaining.

id still kill to see them live though.....in my nightmares.

So you die 1:24
Drapped in disease 1:45
Like fire opening
The mass strangulation opening
Stilborn saviour 2:30-end

I think that every fucking riff in "buried by the dead" is awesome!!!! the hole song is so damn groovy!! and ofcourse the vers in "Eaten" is probably the most brutal riff ever played!!!!
SWANÖ RULES!

Buried by the Dead has one of the most addicting riffs to be honest.

Some of my favs:

-Furnace Funeral 0:27 to 0:57 kills...
-Like Fire opening and chorus
-Cry My Name the leadguitar-melody
-The Soulcollector opening and 1:06 to 1:30, fucking brutal.
-Eaten, beginning & chorus
-Blood Vortex opening
-Soul Evisceration 2:34 solo, 3:16 to the end

I am not going to get into every single riff that I love, but I think of two riffs on Resurrection Through Carnage where that sick tone really rings out. The opening riff on So You Die, and then the riffing on The Soulcollector from 2:08 to 2:47. Nasty. Also, the beginning of Buried By The Dead.

My favourite BD riff (in compination with the vocals) is the "Coming though me, souls imprisoned in gore"-part of Buried By The Dead.
Brutal motherfucking riff.

My favourite guitar work for Bloodbath is hands down from Cry My Name. It's haunting, evil and brutal all at once. The lead guitar is some seriously kick ass stuff.

I actually kind of wonder how Bloodbath will sound without Dan's touch....

like a generic death metal band I guess...

thats what got me hooked on bloodbath, was that riff alone.

I did not know that Swanö contributed that much to the overall sound actually. I thought that he only did his 4 tracks on Nightmares Made Flesh. I figured that Anders handled all of the riffing on the first two albums.

So You Die, The Soulcollector, Cry My Name, and Like Fire were Dan's songs on RTC.

On Breeding Death he did a few riffs here and there, don't know what they were.
