Favourite Cover Versions ?

Guys, you're taking the attention off of my awesome list, I suggest you cool it now.

Listening to a Dead Can Dance tribute album, i can't believe how i forgot to mention the cover version of "In Power We Entrust The Love Advocated" by The Gathering. One of the most beautiful cover (or not) songs i ever heard.

Sonata Arctica's cover of 'Still Loving You'(scorpions) is very cool, because it's so much faster than the original. I love almost all covers in the world, except if they're really shitty, like that techno version of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'. Was it Verenpisara that covered the Finnish 'Rasputin'?I dunno, but I love that... And Diablo's version of Abba's 'Dancing Queen'. The weirder, the better.

You're all gay, because you fail to note the utter brilliance of GHOUL covering "The Skull Beneath the Skin". It is, at the time of writing, the best recorded Megadeth cover version.

You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen

Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music’s high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You’re in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen

You’re a teaser, you turn ’em on
Leave them burning and then you’re gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You’re in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen
