What are your favourite music related documentaries. Can be any genre. You can list as many as you like.

Mine are:
Flight 666
Let the palaces Burn
New York Doll
Gimme Shelter
The Decline of the Western Civilization Part 2: The Metal Years

Flight 666
VH-1 (Inside Out): Warren Zevon

There's a documentary about Tower Records out there that I haven't seen but would like to do so.

The Seven Ages of Rock, narrated by Dennis Hopper (i believe produced by the BBC)
Metal: A headbanger's Journey, Globe & Metal Evolution (on VH-1) (all by Sam Dunn)

VH-1's 4 part metal documentary gets an honorable mention because it isn't completely horrible.

American Hardcore was really good also loved Vio-lence : Blood and Dirt. If your a fan of the band definitely worth checking out.

The ones about fav bands are generally a good time. There's two about New Model Army - a great band with a very poetic frontman in the charming (but sometimes bleak) setting of northern England, so it works well. Otherwise I tend to get more out of fictionalised biopics and being immersed in the band's world.

Between Dog and Wolf: The New Model Army Story
From Here: 40 Years of New Model Army
Metallica: Some Kind of Monster
Edgeplay: A Film About The Runaways
Last Days Here
Theory of Obscurity: A Film About the Residents
