I only listen to BME these days. The two following albums had a few good songs then it all tunred to shit.

What else did they do that can even begin to touch Morbid Visions? Maybe Schizophrenia.

edit: ok, i take that back ... i dont think it would be correct to say Arise is a much better album. I have both of 'em rated at 4.5/5

MA ratings (unlike the "casuals" on RYM)

Morbid Visions - Full-length 1986 - 16 (75%)
Schizophrenia - Full-length 1987 - 14 (92%)
Beneath the Remains - Full-length 1989 - 26 (94%)
Arise - Full-length 1991 - 16 (90%)
Roots - Full-length 1996 - 19 (49%)

... looks about right. I'd personally rate MV higher and Roots much lower.

RYM and MA ratings are both trash on the whole, my RYM friends are a super knowledgeable bunch though obvs. they have the second and third albums above MV too but not ARISE.

Arise and MV are actually just about even for me. Only song from both album that i have rated lower than 4 stars is Show Me the Wrath.

Arise is tripe. Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation are all the Sepultura you really need.
