SIR 2 is the shit imo, I use the Recording Studio true stereo impulse a lot. I think in the 1.1 version theres a wooden room that comes with it that smokes too

I use the impulses from Logic 7 and 8 in Altiverb... love the snare plate, gated snare, and vocal plates!

SIR 2 as well, but it's a major CPU hog. be forewarned.

90% of all of my verb impluses have come from the NoiseValut (http://noisevault.com/nv/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=29). some really good stuff there. i really like the 'percussion plate'.

I use Voxengo's "Nice Drum Room" all the time and often create a "virtual room mic" with it for live recordings or whatever if I don't setup a real room mic.

Are there any good real studio room impulses anywhere? I'm in need of some to emulate drum room mics, rather than just plain verb.

I love the Lexicon PCM 91 room impulses. I use them all the time to simulate drum ambience tracks.

^ Oh cool, I was looking for that website. There's a lot of impulses of real rooms that people have submitted there. Might be worth checking out. I've downloaded a few, but haven't really been able to try them.
