Feedback needed on a short mix! pod xt + mf again

hey guys!
I m kinda stuck in mixing, my ears have retired. any idea how to improve this mix below? I feel it a bit dinamically flat. some hints would be awesome to let me step forward. thx!

To be honest, I personally think it sounds pretty killer.

sounds pretty good but you have some ugly stuff going on in the bass. probably around the 1kish region.

lol, thanks! I also think its not that bad, but definitely could be much better.
Sniper, u nailed it, coze there was a boost exactly at 1khz on the bass I reduced it, and did several minor tweaks over the whole mix, so here is it:

I prefer this one because the guitars aren't so honky. Just add a some reverb to the snare so it sustains a bit.

thanks man! I ll try in the evening. can u suggest what kind of reverb should I start with? some kind of plate I guess...

Yeah, I tend to go with plates but I generally just scroll through all the reverbs I have with the mix playing and choose the one that sounds less terrible.
