Lamb of God / Thrash type idea (needs mix feedback)

I dig the riff and the mix sounds very LOG to me. Only thing I would say is that the kick and the snare sound very similar. You might want to try and squeeze a little more low end out of your kick. But otherwise, nice!

Hey man!

1, You mean they sound similar as in to each other? Or similar in terms of they sound very generic?

2, I will do that (low end kick)

3, cheers for the reply man :D

Yeah, I mean they sound like each other. The bass sounds like it has as much click and snap as the snare. Something with a little more low end boom might be better to seperate it.

Guitar has something nasal about it. If you cut that out you could probably brighten them up a bit and make them more present. Drums sound nice but could be have more balls.

I got my own recording/ mix for LOG type metal. Still in process and without vocals yet. But you can check it out! Standing On My Own - The Lies Must Die Tonight

What's up with the random high jack attempt? Can't you create your own thread man? I wouldn't mind if you actually offered some form of opinion on my work / mix.. but just boldly stating "hey guys come look at my stuff" leaves a bit of a sour taste.

And your track is the biggest rip off of Laid to Rest I've ever heard...

I think the kick sounds fine, but I don't like the snare at all, needs more body IMO, and could use a bit more pop instead of plain crack. Everything else sounds pretty good, except for this genre I would make bass a bit more upfront in the low-mids/mids, just make it poke out a bit more

Yeah man I struggle with snares really badly. Any tips for getting that "pop"?

Cheers man!

Sorry man i didn't wanted to offend you.
Just showed sound how i mixed it, but for comparison. So i got time now i can give some suggestion - for bass guitar, need a bit more volume, or for my taste more mids or treble. Also is technique with second bass track hi-passed and some fuzz or distortion on it.
For my ear need a bit more volume for snare and maybe less compression.

Again sorry for my fail!

EDIT: I like guitar sound! And can you say what you used on snare - like mic position and eq + comp?
