Snare sounds very digital, too much EQ and Comp on the SlateSnare as it seems...
Also pumping a bit

Thanks for the tips man, but there is no EQ on the snare except for a cut from 200HZ down.

All of the snare sound is created by compression.

Ah ok, it's just that I've experienced that the preprocessed snares dont profit that much from much EQ and Comp, at least for me...makes them very digital sounding imo

Fair enough man, I just can;t seem to find the balance between snare "pop" and natural power / tone.
