How do I get rid of all the feedback? I play spasmatic metal and feedback is a huge problem. Should I turn my guitar down to 3 and crank my amp so it sounds like I am playing with my guitar on 10?

I'm getting curious...what pickups are you using? It may be worthwhile to try other guitars through your amp and see if they also have the same problem. It might be the pickups, if they're a bit microphonic.

But make sure you stand as far away from the amp as possible and facing away from it. =)

Well, I was having a feedback problem, I turned down the highs, (and the mids and lows to compensate for less highs), turning the preamp gain down a tad and master volume up to compensate, and pushed a hotter signal into the input, and my feedback problems are eliminated.

I didn't get rid of ALL the feedback, but what I do have left is quite controllable. Just the way I like it. :)

Oh, and yes, what Sunbane said, stand at least 10-15" away from the amp and face away from it...
