So it's just a fender version of the 5150? Do know if the tone has changed?

I am a huge Fender hater (well guitars wise) and don't want a head that sounds fender so if it was just a tweaked 5150 I would be sold. If it even has a hint of fender tone in it I am a no go.

from what i can tell from that 2nd video it sounds amazing! nice clean ring but still a lot of raweness and bite. sounds like a warmer biased 5150 to me

Yeah...as far as I know it will be produced/manufactured by Fender without the Fender name ...but will have the "EVH" product name instead.

I think that's what it will be.... the raw 5150 tone with a Fender clean as heard in the last few seconds of the vid....I'm sold.

I wouldnt worry too much, not to mention fender has built some of the finest amps in history, and directly inspired the others (the first marshall was Jim marshalls take on a bassman, and el34s were cheaper than 6l6's VIOLA! Marshall was born) Fender can build amps man, just keep that fucking metalhead thing away from me

probably a dumb question but why does he act so loopy?? I heard something about him at dimebags funeral like him going off on some rant about himself and heard he was a little crazy.

Everone's X: I am not flaming Fender to bad, I almost bought a 65 delux one time (can you say stupid for not?). And I love the clean tone that fender has. However when it comes to distortion I fucking loath Fender, and that across the board wether rock tone, blues OD, or anything. So if it's the 5150 gain with a fender clean chanell then CHA CHING!

This is so true. Peavey made some truly craptacular amps in the 80s. I mean, just fucking horrible. I remember test-driving thier Marshall JCM 800 clone back when it was new. The one with the DIP switches on front so you could 'tweak' your sound.... and I couldn't get it to sound good no matter what.

For a very very long time, Peavey was synonymous with "shit." Fortunately, they finally got their act together with the 5150.
