So, I just picked up my Fender Tremolux amp today, for free. It could probably use some new speakers and tubes cause god knows when they were replaced last, probably the tubes from when my grandfather bought it back in the '60s. Apparently it was the 33rd produced in the run, so that's kind of cool. One problem is that the freaking transformer is hanging on by one screw, not exactly fantastic, so I need to fix that. Other than that it's in pretty nice shape, and the tone is good for rock. Any ideas for good mods?

Doooo NOT mod it! Leave the poor vintage Fender as is! They are great amps and will keep going up in value.

You'll need new tubes, but make sure to save the original tubes, they are probably RCAs made in the USA - a piece of valuable history. Get it professionally evaluated, the caps most certainly will need replacement.
