Found this beauty, has anyone used one to do a direct comparison, and these babies have sustainers.

From the few that I have played I like Fernandes. But I have also played the EC-1000 and I think the LTD is a better go. The sustainer system was pointless to me (personally).

I'm personally a little leery of guitars made in China.
I wanted a sustainer but avoided fernandes b/c of this.
FWIW worth I ended up getting a DK2S instead.

Yeah, it's rad. It has a 'gain' knob for the sustain foldback so you can actually 'ride' the feedback. There are also 3 different modes of feedback.
It's a sick level of control and is great for hiding my awful guitar playing behind feedback and trem tricks.

I'm curious... did this get used over the EBow on Dismantling Devotion or the upcoming album?

Nah, it showed up after the leads were all done but I imagine it will show up in the future. It doesn't sound exactly like an ebow but it is infinitely more flexible.

I want to snag one of the humbucker versions of it to replace my EBow that I'm constantly dropping and hot-gluing the base of back on, but can't seem to find 'em.

If it's more flexible than the EBow and frees up my picking hand... Gotta keep searching!

Well no shit - Easier than I thought.


Still...$229 is like 4x the price of an Ebow - I might just look for a used DK2S and rip the pickup out, resell later.

My ebow totally died. Pissed that I can't take it apart without destroying the casing.
