Yes, it was good but honestly, not as good as FFX. The storyline seems a little bland in comparison with FFX and especially with FFVII or FFVIII.
Though, the battle system is different. Instead of entering a battle at random, the mobs free roam in the zones. They gathered this concept with their development of FFXI. If you have played a MMORPG, then you'd most likely understand.
It's worth it but don't expect something extremely badass.
