Finally a Distressor plugin

I don't know about the other plugins they offer but the distressor plug is pretty dang nice and close to that same gritty distortion characteristic the real unit has. Try it out.

I think this one has been out there for a while allready. Unfortunatelly not available for OS X.

The general concensus on Antress plugins was that they all are just good looking GUIs with a sound that doesn't even sound close to the originals. I never tried them, but they've been around for years and years and some people like them, most people don't. Not that that really means anything if you like their sound ...

I too heard that, and agreed with the last pack of their plug ins I had, hence why I only bothered using the Distressor one. But seriously, try it out...or don't...then it'll be my thing

I've used these for years. My favorites are the Seventh Sign and Distressor...

I really like destroying audio and the distressor can do it, as well as the analouger or whatever. worth checking out.

Probably because developers have to pay a large fee to Avid to develop for RTAS/AAX, and since they're giving these away for free, I seriously doubt they're making enough money to do so

Holy shit, I'd never heard of H-comp, but it looks awesome - I bought R Comp last year and have really liked it, might have to upgrade to this...

I'd imagine licensing and the fact it's quite a complex box and it could be difficult to get right. So most likely been put in the "too expensive" pile by Waves and since UAD have done the fatso I'd imagine they have a deal of exclusivity with empirical labs.

Loved the Modern Series, they were great to learn on, and were still quite functional plugs. The only problems I ever had were crashing issues when I dropped them in to audition too fast/too often. This comparison vid is great too.

Still lovin this plugin on drums, bass, loud vocals. It just does something to the smack that I like, thickens the overall sound but in a gritty way.

I use this, the lost angel(la2a), apophis(ssl bus comp), and seventh sign(1176) on every mix I do.
