Finally an announcement...though not what I wanted to hear

this band is so dead!!! can't believe they are still trying!! good luck with the new tour playing in front of 150 people maximum a night!! I'm glad I was there from 85 till the last Bush show in Holland, no reunion dates for me , just sweet memories of the good old days!!

Ehhhh, can you blame Joey? The band has always been Charlie, Scott and Crew. I'm sure he enjoyed the shows but at the end of the day maybe never felt like it was "his" band again.

He seemed like he was really having the time of life the 2 times I saw the reunion show. I guess the best that could come from this as that playing thrashyier tunes for the past 2 years has inspired them to write a bit heavier and John comes back to create SOWN part 2. But who knows.

I always prefered John, but Joey was alright as well. I guess I just hope they can something going again.

For all the smack that some of us have talked about the Joey/John camps, right now I think the best thing we all can do is to let Scott know that, whatever he and Charlie decide is the next logical move for Anthrax, we the fans will be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and give the next line-up a chance. I'm certain there were people who were disappointed when Neil Turbin was let go, but people gave Joey a chance, and it gave us several great years.

I'm not surprised, I don't think any of us are..(silence is golden) silence spoke volumes on this website...but if it was posted on blabbermouth first??? that is crappy for sure...hopefully it wasn't..but so far it doesnt seem like it. why is there a CDC?

I thought that Joey was a great singer- even second time round (first saw them on Persistence on Tour) but with John Bush they were the greatest live metal band on the planet. Sad that Joey has left but lets hope John Bush returns :-)

Some things look easy on paper but the reality is that they are impossible and what works for one band doesn't work for others. Maybe we could've forced something and cashed in on a new record but that's not the way we operate.

This is way funny. The reunion was nothing but a cashing plan. I just hope Bush tells 'em to F off, if they even have the audacity to ask him.

I'm perplexed on the John thing, granted I'm sure he was pissed at this whole thing but his great friend Joey Vera has worked with Scott during the whole reunion thing.

Wow...an announcement. After having a fairly shitty day, I come home from work to find out that this band is going to move on without Joey. I feel somewhat betrayed. I feel that I may have made a mistake by not leaving here when I originally planned to.
Do they (Charlie and Scott) really belive that John Bush will re-join the band after he has already stated that his time in the band was over? How about Rob Caggiano? He most likely wouldn't come back either.
I hate to say it, but Anthrax may be dead in the water now.

And by the way, just because certain people "predicted" that this would happen, that doesn't mean that they actually knew shit. They were most likley just guessing like the rest of us. Their guess just happened to come true.

I was hoping for Julio Iglesias, but I heard he's still upset at Charlie.

Yeah, the gossip says Charlies wife once was one of Julios harem dancers (one of 400 000).

Withfield Crane is a bandwhore. But I´m not sure he fits Thrax. I liked their take on the JP-tribute, but it was kind of weird hearing him in a duett with John.

I know the new singer of the band. Its that guy who won the Singshot contest, Mr. Strype I believe. I guess the band was planning ahead with that contest.

It was only posted on the CDC as per Scott...he said it was up to us if we wanted to post that information elsewhere...

Good news for Anthrax, Joey was a good fit for the band in 88, but today, is voice is so dated and he not fit the band anymore. It's the greatest news for the band since the 1st April 2005.
Thrash is back in Anthrax in 2007  :kickass: :Smokin: :notworthy
