It didn't really have as much personality as the first, but it was pretty decent. Essentially it would appear they went with the same formula as the first, but there was alot of stuff that went a bit too far away and ended up being pointless.

Rourke had cool teeth though.

Rourke sucked, and the banter between Pepper Potts and Stark was annoying at best. Too much of it. Good chemistry mind you, but OMG SHUT THE FUCK UP. THAT'S ENOUGH ALREADY.

Otherwise, I very much enjoyed the movie. Common now, a briefcase suit? Fuck ya.

It was the same movie over again. If you had higher expectations, well, yeah, it probably sucked.

I knew what I was getting into, and I enjoyed it, in a munching popcorn and watching shit blow up kind of way.

I think Rourke was given a mediocre role to play, but he did what he could with it.

I enjoyed both Iron man films, though I will say that 2 contained quite a bit of "leftover" stuff that didn't make it into the first film. But that was fine by me.
There were also plenty of nods to certain story arcs from the comics like the armour wars and Extremis (on which most of the movieish stuff was based). Again that was ok for me.
