FINALLY SWITCHED to EMG's

85 Bridge 81 neck....very happy with the tone!

I have went through Ibanez stock pu's.....EMG hz's......Dimarzio SD....Dimarzio x2n.....Wolfgang pu's.....Duncan JB......and then EMG 81 anniversry edition.

WOW....nothing beats emg 81 so far in my findings.

But they can be a tiny bit hot, and you have to make sure to unplug your cable at practice or the next morning you will need another 9volt LOL!!!

Would you guys use an 89, 81, or 60 for the neck??? My new guitar will have the 85 bridge, but which is best for neck??

I think the 89 is pretty much an 85 that converts to an SA when split. That could certainly be quite versatile. I've heard the 60 is quite nice though- would like to try one soon.
