Finnish people are really genious

True, dutch looks like english in some ways, but it has such fucked up grammar that even me as a dutchy dont understand, but since im born dutch (ya rly:lol:) i just have the "feeling" if you know what i mean.

I know EXACTLY what you mean

But I'm not talking about perfect grammar, I'm talking about communication :) as I said, I'm sure dutch is fucking hard when it comes to speaking it perfectly, but it's easier to communicate in it than turkish, for example(even though turkish has a perfectly regular grammar and once you can communicate, whoa, you're speaking it perfectly) :p

Almost every school is better than American schools :p.
Learning any language isn't useless, just because you arn't a fan of any Italian metal bands .

P.S. Except for Spanish, all you really need to know is like "Ci, el Buildo me a Decko, $5 Americano!"

oh rly?:p Coud be dunno...In finland education is practicly free. I have 7-8 lessons per day. Plus i got a 35 kilometer long drive to school so i go to school 08:00 and come from school 16:00. Sucks pretty badly sometimes to live that far away. Its mostly coz its the nearest Swedish school(i still do speak both finnish and swedish) but NVM!:D

Okay...what does the distance you are from the school have to do with the quality of education?

Sure it does have a difference personally...Its damn exhausting. Overall i think the school is pretty high level but then again i dont know how schools are in the US :)

Actually i just did 20 minutes ago.. I saw this youtube movie about a school in Gent (sint-pietersen?) and this west flanders dude got interviewed.. Its actually quite similar to the accent they have here!

@leandro: that's cuz dutch words are from the same germanic mother language

Was that Finland at number 1 on the Pisa 2003 International Test Overral Results-list (shown on the 20/20 stupid in America-video)? That's awesome! I didn't expect that, but I did expect Finland in the top 10 though, because the education system is really good here.

täytyy harjoitella enemmän suomenkieltä =/

Agreed, though I see you're doing fine!

BTW; I don't know if any one has posted this yet but... Longest word on finnish language: epäjärjestelmällistymättömyydellänsäkäänköhän <---- it's kinda made up but a word still... I can't atm even think of translating it into english though :Smug:

Longest word in the English language pwnz that one. And it's real too (well...probably not :p), it's the chemical name for tryptophan synthetase A protein. (the spaces are there because copy pasta failed)

K..... Obviously failed. The "word" is repeated many times, lol.

The lenght about that finnish word is because of morfems(???) the little things which you add on finnish language to the end of words. In english you use words after/before the word. Such as in, to, under, either, etc. etc.
