So I've never worked with "real" stuff" (real drums and vocals mainly) until now..
Being totally new to it I found it pretty difficult but I think I learned alot. I'm sure I've made tons of mistakes and whatnot, but it's all trial and error I guess.

The band are a couple of friends and they recorded 13 tracks of drums and guitars in 2 days, so it's kinda messy sounding, but they wanted to get down as much as possible in the time they had.

For guitars we used the guitarists Laney VH100R with a TS9 in front through some Orange cab. I think the guitars sound a bit pod-ish but I don't know how much you can expect from that amp. There are 3 tracks of guitars, 1 L, 1 R and one in the middle.

I have no idea what kind of drums they used.. The kick has been 100% replaced and the snare is 50% sample and 50% natural. There's been no editing on the drums, what you hear is what's being played :) I didn't really feel like cuttin gout every hit on 13 songs for free haha..

Bass is through the Warp plugin :)

I really have no idea about vocals haha.. I just tried out different stuff. I found the vocal part being the most difficult..
This is the first and only mix I did, I just wanted to get finished.

[my usual MBP speakers.. so it's not all that accurate]

guitars seems really buried in the mix.
Definitely a mix centered around the drums,. which isn't a bad thing - but you def. need to bring those guitars up.

Doesn't sound too bad though.. I'm not a huge fan of this style, so I can't really give you any pointers as to where to go - but the vocals and delay seem appropriate.

Not a bad job,.. just fix the guitars - and problem solved!

Agree with the previous post about the guitar sound.

What basdrum samples did you use?

I actually like the style of music, nice vocals too!

Thanks for the replies!

Yeah I agree about the guitars heh, need to come up.. though they will have to settle with this :) And I figured out the mono thing.. the guitar in the middle is too high and taking too much space.

I used the "SpeedMtl" kick from the DM5 kick collection :)
