Hey guys. I'm still a noob and I need some mixing help.

The drums are made from a huge library of samples.
The guitar is DI
The bass is midi

Can I get a better sound than this with my LACK of equipment?!

Nothing ever seems to 'fit' correctly even after I fuss around with EQ balancing.

Again, excuse my lack of things...I'm recording solely to become a better engineer and so that my current band (which has no budget) can get a decent recording sound without studio time.

AND I APOLOGIZE FOR THE LACK OF METAL!
I'll be posting things from my metal project soon, but for now I need your help with this.

Heres a sample of the recording:

Heres the drum track I made just for kicks:

i'm confused. you said real drums in the subject but then talk about the usage of samples. please clarify. :)

Sorry about that. I meant real drum SAMPLES as opposed to the MIDI I usually use...yay MIDI drums! But yeah...theyre just samples

Real drums are lived mic'd.

That said, it doesn't sound bad. You may want to invest in having someone else mix your material because you can clearly track it.

Thanks. Only problem being I literally have no budget right now. But I'm considering sending the project file to my brother who may know a bit more than I about mixing. However, I'm asking for advice on how I can mix it better myself so that in the future it will be no trouble.

Just a quick update. Nothing big, just thought I'd show everyone the minor tweaks I've been making:

How are the levels?
