Hi, several years ago, I was in a band which tried to produce our own demo.

We recorded drum tracks at a local studio and asked the owner to burn these tracks on a cd for mixing at home in a DAW.
After a lot trial&error attempts, I got this.

(Soloed Drums around 1min.27secs.)

As I said, it was through trial and error and a strong tinitus resulted in my ears so I let mixing for a while.

Recently I discovered an old CD containing raw drum tracks; I tried to reproduce the mix, but I cant get it anymore.

Below are raw tracks that belong to the last seconds of the mix stated in one of the previous paragraphs:

Any help to get a similar mix (or a better one) is welcome.

Thanks in advance.

PS. By the way, at the end of the soundcloud clip, there's a soloed drum section that matches the WAV files I uploaded.

It would be great if the Blue Jay drum tone could be got.

Did someone deleted my previous post regarding this same topic?

Did I got on fault to any of the forum rules?

If someone's going to delete this post, at least some explanation could be give.

You have waaay to much high end (12k+) on the snare and bass drum. I'm guessing that was added when mixing. What did you mix this on?

i dont think its a issue
Mate, what do you mean?

Yes, indeed; did you had chance to hear the wav files I've uploaded, everything was recorded with SM57s.

On snare, I enhanced 10K around 9dB, then a high shelf boost around 15K; Then I tried to raise around 160HZ to return some snare body lost due to previous high/freq EQ.

Being frank, the soundcloud clip's mix was made around 2003 and I dont remember very much what I did (as I explained on my first post).

It would be great if you could advice me some tweaks based in the wav files I uploaded.

Best regards.
