Hey guys,

So there, I made my first mix of a metal song with a singer, and I wanted to have some of your advices on how to improve it. Sincerely, I quite like it overall, but there might be details (only details hopefully) where I could do better...

I think the clean voices are a bit dry, but I've reached the point where I'm losing perspective on the song...

So any advice is welcome :)

Oh by the way, here is the song : Dread Savior - Speechless (the singer has very bad english pronounciation)

Thanks,
Kevin.

Wow, that's freakin' cool! I'd say upping the rhythm guitars as well because the vox now seem to overly dominate the mix. I'm totally digging the panning in the intro with the vox. The snare seems like it could be Pearl 3, but the kick, does it have a sample blended?

edit: Is that vocal edit toward the end intentional?

I think I'm gonna go with this version. I think it sounds okay... I did bring the guitars up, treated the vocals just a little bit differently...

And shit... I need to edit the vocals a little bit better, you're right :)
edit : I can't really do something "good" since I don't have the attack of the first word on this part it's cut, they probably tried something and fucked up, and I'm stuck with that, so I made a small fade in... Don't really know what else to do.

As for the drums, I believe it is just the DW kit... I think I might have added a few cymbals, other than that everything is the default preset.

even out the peaks and new york the drums a bit more, elements sticking out
atm. but cool band, nice multidimensional mix.
