First Mix!!

Hello everyone! This is my very first mix here in the forum and I am anxious to see what you guys think. It's just a fairly quick recording and mix. I've gotten it to a point to where I think it sounds pretty good but I've found that the high end doesn't translate very well on my monitors so that's one area I'm a little concerned about. If you would be so kind as to have a listen and suggest any improvements. Thanks guys!

For a first mix that sounds really, really good. The guitars have a bit too much mids for my taste, and the snare could use a bit more body, though.

Thanks man! I was actually debating about the mids on the guitars and decided to turn them back up for this mix. I'll try backing off a bit. When you say more body on the snare, what area would you recommend? I boosted a bit around 200hz but I can hear what you are talking about now that you mention it.

Also, any tips on getting a smoother lead tone? Would it be a matter of compression or perhaps just trying another amp sim? I'm using Poulin's LE456 for all guitars as of right now.
