First natural/real drum recording....

Hey guys, please take a listen and let me know if you can actually hear anything wrong with these drum recordings besides the timing on a few spots. This is the first real drum recording thats done with our new firestudio. These aren't metal songs, it's our drummers other band. I'm just curious if we're on the right track or not.

There is a little compression, panning, and eq but not much at all.

Also, after hearing this do you think it would be possible to record the same way and get a good metal sound (yes he hits harder with us)?

Cymbals sound really harsh, toms are really tubby, snare sounds really odd.. weird gate and an almost phasey sound?

But not bad for a first go
