Hey guys this is the first rough mix of a song from my bands new album.
It is mainly HC but with some metal influences...

I know the break at the end seems not balanced...
I´m going to fix stuff like that when vocals and gangshouts are tracked.

So let me know what you think about the first mix.

Snare sounds a little loud. I think the guitars could come up a little bit as well. The Guitars are also a little dark I think but it may be a preference thing. Sounds great other than those minor tweaks!

i personally find the mix is lacking some lowmids - i would try to let the bass live more in the 120hz area.
also guitars are very toneless/lifeless <<

tone sounds very "engl" to mesaish ;-) am i right ?

other than that, vocals might help the track ! bin gespannt!

Yeah you are right. We used two different Engl thunder amps.
2x12 framus cobra cab on top of a 4x12 marshall v30.

2x12 miced with md421 on axis and sm57 off axis.

We used a Gibson les paul classic....

I like the guitar tone a lot, but the guitar editing is very sloppily done. You need to make it sound more realistic.

The mix needs more low mids/bass. I'm on the same wavelength as danny.
