First Time posting/Mix

This is my first time posting and I'm a complete noob. Here is a mix I was screwing around with this morning and wanted to just hear feedback and receive some input on the mix down. I just want to know what others may hear/or want to hear that I am not picking up through my monitors.

bring up the theshold onthe master comp, it's pumping a lot. also adjust the snare velocities on those blasts

Thank you!!! I absolutely hate my drums, I'm still not very keen on how they should be equalized and where they should sit in the mix. And proper compression is still beyond my minds grasp.

The mix is pumping very badly, first off. The drums need to come up, I can barely hear them, aside from the snare in the blast beat sections. Guitars sound undergained and muddy.

Yeha the compression is killing the mix as stated....gotta give the compressor some room to breath....so like bottner said...bring up that threshold so the mix still has some life. I think once you do that each instrument will sit better in the mix

delete your mastering chain entirely and re-master similar to the way Slate describes in this post...

this tip has helped me and so many other guys on the forum to get a loud mix without pumping.
